La Concepcion del Arte opens Tamara de las Tormentas exhibicion Onirica

She has received the Auguste Rodin prize, presented a tv program and recently one of her art pieces, a 70 thousand usd painting, was stolen from a Pasadena private collection. In this interview the Chilean artist living in Concepcion, answers it all.

How do you feel that thieves are stealing your art? I don’t really know how to feel, I probably shouldn’t say it, but I feel kind of flattered. It’s nice to see people enjoying your art. Anyway it’s nicer to see people paying it. But it wasn’t your money, the painting was sold to a collector. Yes, it’s always surprising to see how the prices go up and up. When I sold it, the painting wasn’t that expensive, and that was only around two years ago.

What’s up with your name? Ha! People are always wondering about that, De las Tormentas (of the Storm) it’s my actual last name, not a pseudonym. My daughter, who is a filmmaker, enjoys making puns with it, she was the one who named our tv show Pintando en la Tormenta (Painting in the Storm), and she also happens to be the director. You seem to be very close to your family? Yes, very close to them all, I also have an excellent relationship with my son in law. Really? Yes, people don’t believe us, but he is like a son to me, I get him cookies, I cook his favorite meals. For instance, he has written a series of child short stories, and I have illustrated them. We are super close.

You seem like a happy person, what do you want to communicate with your art? I want to communicate emotions, personal thoughts, ideas I explore on my daily life. I want to share the beauty that’s around us.

She also said that, with abstract painting, she can make emotional and personal statements, “many times people say that abstract art is nothing, but I believe in my experience and that the evoked feelings are transmitted clearly, there are several of my paintings in that I sought to communicate an emotion in the first look, and in a second look a conflicting emotion, and spectators rea not aware of this intention, are completely capable of discovering these emotions, ” she added.

It is from these two aspects that her greatest source of inspiration emerges when expressing her art, “nature is there and that you can take it to the canvas is the maximum, then what I paint most are forests, water, streams that they form, plants that grow at the water’s edge. It is intriguing and fascinating to be able to capture a particular moment, an exclusive quality of light and a specific shade of a color, ”said Tamara de las Tormentas. You can visit her exhibition online here, more info at Tamara de las Tormentas Art Gallery.

Pro photographer wildlife hand signed limited edition art on large canvas wall print by Terry Bear

Home decor idea: Terry Bear art large canvas wall print hand signed? What if you are hanging wall art over a sofa, bed or table? Choose a piece of art (or a series) that is the same length as the furniture piece or smaller. Avoid wall decor that is wider than the furniture piece; it looks totally weird. What if you have a gigantic wall? Large canvas wall art can be very expensive or hard to get into your apartment. Instead, choose smaller pieces that can be laid like a collage or gallery wall like the contemporary living room above.

An oversized painting or photograph will command attention and set the tone in a small space. Try a black-and-white photo in a minimalist space or add color with a vibrant abstract piece. Nothing adds personality and color quite like a gallery wall. Display a collection of art or photographs, or add wall hangings and other ephemera. Opt for simple, cohesive frames or bring in an array of ornate variations to mix things up! Pro tip: Extend the gallery wall to the ceiling to create the illusion of a larger space.

Add this beautiful piece of canvas wall art to any room in your house or office for a great piece of home decor. This is the 1st edition print of a picture taken by artist Terry Bear. Only 40 were printed with each print signed and numbered by the artist. The large wall art print features a thick gallery 1.5 inch canvas wrapped frame that measures 36 x 24 inches. Graffiti history nice thing to know : Byzantine mosaic decoration evinced the greatest respect for organic architectural form. The great artists of the Renaissance, on the other hand, attempted to create an illusionistic feeling for space, and the masters of the subsequent Baroque period obtained such radical effects as to seem to dissolve almost entirely the walls or ceilings. Apart from its organic relation to architecture, a second characteristic of mural painting is its broad public significance. The mural artist must conceive pictorially a social, religious, or patriotic theme on the appropriate scale in reference both to the structural exigencies of the wall and to the idea expressed.

The dark side of the Netherlands – Michael Jackson’s secret daughter books

Michael Jackson is one of the most popular artists in human history and that’s why everything related to him is big. You maybe heard about the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson, called by the media the Michael Jackson’s secret daughter. What you most likely didn’t know is the fact that Mocienne Petit Jackson is a prolific writer, with plenty of book available on Amazon and most of the other major book retailers. Against the conclusion that has been suggested by people of the international press, the L.A. County Superior Court did not reject the case of Mocienne Petit Jackson in 2010 on the basis of the case’s integrity. Instead, the request to validate Ms Jackson’s claim using DNA evidence from the deceased Michael Jackson was not granted due to the fact that the State of California does not possess the jurisdiction to conduct DNA tests on the deceased. As a result, the case has remained open indefinitely.

In this, the first of a three-part autobiography by Mocienne Petit Jackson, we meet the main character Mocienne. We read about her wonderful adventures from the age of six until the age of nine. She lived with her father – Michael Jackson! – in California. As he was not at home very often she was always in the company of a nanny. However, one nanny was continuously being replaced by the next. Mocienne was also often sick. Her father made an important decision and moved her to Haiti to go and live with an aunt –he wanted her to be part of a family. In time, she realised that her father was not like other fathers and that he was not who he claimed to be: a policeman. He would often visit her on Haiti when he was not busy with a performance. Her life on Haiti was not what she expected – a normal family life. She came into contact with some very kind people but also with others who were not so kind. She experienced many things which were not meant for a child of that age. We relive those experiences with her as she describes them through the eyes of a young and vulnerable little girl. After moving to Port-au-Prince, her life changes dramatically. Not long after that it became a complete nightmare. Find more info at Mocienne Petit Jackson Books – Thriller Betrayal.

The Court did not rule it as being impossible, therefore, that Michael Jackson is the father of Mocienne Petit Jackson—merely that it is impossible to determine through legal means. Ms Jackson filed documents to the probate court in July 2010 in order to validate the fact that the late pop star Michael Jackson is indeed her father and thus to claim an inheritance.

According to this assessment, a majority of press coverage on the subject has been misleading. For example, before the death of her father in June 2009, Michael Jackson had spent eight months living in the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam in order to be nearer to his then nine-year-old grandson. Furthermore, Ms Jackson’s mother Barbara Jane Ross, sister of the musician Diana Ross, is alleged to have lied about ever having met Michael Jackson while speaking in an interview on the Dutch television programme RTL Boulevard. Ms Jackson therefore believes—due to these two factors not having featured in press reports—that the media has treated the story in an unbalanced manner.

Part two of the three-part autobiography of Mocienne Petit Jackson starts with an extended description of the kidnapping of Mocienne and her life in The Netherlands. Subsequently we read how her life turned out with her adoptive family – where she and her cousin Délivrance stayed.Gradually she discovers that her real father is Michael Jackson. At the age of 15 she left her adoptive family, lived at a boarding school for 4 years and then got a place of her own. We follow her throughout the time when she passed through her teenage years and entered maturity – which was not always easy.Mocienne meets a man who she has a child with. However, this commitment was not to be.We learn about the problems she encounters with the Child Protection Services, followed by many court cases. At first, the court cases related to her own situation, later on they turned into a battle for her son. The one unacceptable situation followed yet another unacceptable situation. We also learn about the many traumatic events of the main character, her depressions and countless struggles to process the misery linked to her life and her strife to let it go. The writer clearly explains these struggles through vivid flashbacks. Discover more details at The dark side of the Netherlands – Michael Jackson secret daughter and her books.

Ms Jackson also claims that her father had a tendency to exhibit unusual behaviour which she believes may have arisen from the knowledge that he had kept his daughter in secret since the age of seventeen years. Michael Jackson allegedly did not discuss the topic openly because it was difficult and frightening for him to come to terms with. At present, Ms Jackson is seeking to make a name for herself as her own individual. Thriller, for example, offers unique insights on her life by including stories concerning unusual and difficult situations that she experienced while living in the Netherlands. She argues extensively, for instance, that the harshness of the Dutch political system has had a significant impact on her character, and that by writing about it she can express a sense of frankness.

Michael Jackson top albums, life and his family today

Michael Jackson top albums, life and his kids now: Dangerous has its flaws. The ballads on the back (non-Riley) half of the album could pass for gospel renditions of Celine Dion schmaltz. Despite its noble message and Jackson’s statement that it was the song he was most proud of writing, “Heal the World” is essentially “We Are The World Pt. 2.” The theme from Free Willy, “Will You Be There” offers a sweet sentiment, but it’s not exactly “I Believe I Can Fly.” “Gone Too Soon” falls into that same category of beautifully intentioned crooning that ultimately sounds like a dentist office doxology, especially when contrasted with the brilliant funk of the first side. Some interpreted it as a desire to catch up, but it’s more emblematic of his lust to conquer. If Off the Wall was Jackson mastering late ’70s soul and disco, Thriller was his perfection of ’80s pop. This is Jackson showing that he could blend hip-hop and R&B better than anyone had previously imagined. The new decade starts here, with artists like Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, TLC, R. Kelly, et al. taking cues from Jackson and Riley’s alchemy. To say nothing of Kanye, Drake, and countless others still atop the charts.

On the afternoon of June 25th, you couldn’t walk across the street without hearing “Billie Jean” or “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough”. Everyone heard the news and they turned to the guy’s discography. Since a great deal of the population didn’t own the records anymore – or, as many of you born in 1984 probably experienced, were forbidden to listen to ’em around the early ’90s – places like Best Buy and/or iTunes witnessed a spike in sales. Within a month, any financial troubles Jackson had left behind were a thing of the past. What’s more, much like the rest of the population, record companies re-discovered his talent again, too. Big whigs signed contracts, projects were penciled in, and products were shipped left and right. Admittedly, and looking back, it’s one of the most impressive comebacks a musician’s ever had – if only it weren’t laced in so much tragedy. Then again, death’s also tricky.

HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book 1 (1995) : This is a very tough album to rank. On one hand, it has the unfair advantage of being a pseudo greatest hits album – the number of classic songs reissued here alone should thrust it into the top 3. But the other half of the album features new material that, while not as legendary as the hits, still deserve plenty of props. However, for every memorable cut like “You Are Not Alone” or “Scream,” there are several more inferior cuts to drag down the experience. Despite the uneven nature of the album, it still succeeds, thanks to MJ’s ability to diversify his sound, willingness touch on social issues and, of course, the inclusion of his impenetrable collection of pop hits.

Michael Jackson family: Mocienne Petit Jackson’s (Michael Jackson’s daughter) books are now available in french!
